About Us

The Department of Youth Resources & Sports has an Engineering Wing attached to the Directorate’s Office since  6th of July, 2009. The Engineering Wing is headed by an Executive Engineer, 3 (Three) Sub-Divisional Officers and 4 (Four) Junior Engineers who oversees all the technical aspects of the Department.

Activities

With their understanding of Bernoulli’s principle, engineers manipulate air pressure to create lift. They design wings so that the air moves faster over the top of the wings than under the wings. Since we know from Bernoulli’s principle that faster moving air has less pressure, the air pushes more on the bottom of the wing than on the top of the wing. This difference in pressure causes the wing to rise; engineers call this lift. The 2016 Robotics: Science and Systems Conference will bring together researchers working on algorithmic or mathematical foundations of robotics, robotics applications, and analysis of robotic systems. High quality, original papers are solicited in all areas of robotics. The final program will be the result of a highly selective review process designed to include the best work of its kind in every category. The conference will be single track to allow attendees an opportunity to experience the best research in all areas of robotics. The program will include invited talks as well as oral and poster presentations of refereed papers. The conference will be held at Rackham Auditorium at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.

The TeachEngineering digital library is a collaborative project between faculty, students and teachers associated with five founding partner universities, with National Science Foundation funding. The collection continues to grow and evolve with new additions submitted from more than 50 additional contributor organizations, a cadre of volunteer teacher and engineer reviewers, and feedback from teachers who use the curricula in their classrooms.
